A SUMMARY OF ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ACCEPTANCE ON LEOF's APPROVED REGISTER.
APPROVED CONTRACTORS:
1. Management Representation
A minimum of 51% top management representation from one or more of LEOF's targeted community sectors: black people, women and or people with disabilities. ( 50% for disabled persons alone).
2. Public Liability Insurance.
A minimum of £10 million cover.
3. Employers Liability cover
A minimum of £2 million cover. With facility to extend to meet requirements based on the capacity of individual contracts as they arise.
4. Work Experience
Maintenance Contractors: Relevant house maintenance and or building experience.
Development Contractors: Relevant residential contractual experience.
5. Experienced Referees
A minimum of two satisfactory references
6. Financial Accounts
Approved development contractors will also need to provide 2 years audited accounts to enable LEOF affiliates to carry out any necessary financial checks.
7. Health and Safety Requirements and Environment Policy.
A Health and Safety Policy giving clear guidelines for implementation and consistent with type of contract engaged in.
Willingness to meet individual clients requirements regarding Environment Policy.
8. Corgi Registration ( for trades working with gas only)
Qualification to Industrial or Domestic (or both) servicing as applicable
9. NICEiC Registration ( Electrical Contractors and Sub-Contractors only)
AFFILIATES are advised to check with LEOF or the contractor as required.
CONSULTANTS
1. Management Representation

A minimum cover of £250,000 for each and every claim. With facility to extend to meet individual clients requirements based on the capacity of a commission.
3. Employers Liability cover
At least £1 million cover.
4. Work Experience
Relevant house building and residential contractual experience.
5. Experienced Referees
A minimum of two satisfactory references |
