Equal Opportunities Federation (London) Ltd is a not for profit foundation, which has social housing organisations and organisations of British Central and Local Government as its members It is set up to facilitate access to member contracts ( mainly building contracts) for Minority Led Businesses.

These Businesses are 51% owned by the groups: Black People, Women and People with Disabilities. In addition, our ethnic policy considers All Asian People, Irish People and Turk Cypriot People as eligible for registration.

These Businesses are constantly vetted to the required standards of the organizations who intend to use them. Details of all businesses registered with LEOF are found on the SAFEBUILD.COM DATABASE, which can be accessed through the link on the top right corner of this page.

We carry out a range of other activities to enhance the facilitation of business relationships between our affiliated organizations and clients.

LEOF GIVES PRESENTATIONS AT KEY HOUSING EVENTS

LEOF continues its work at bringing the issues of equality in construction commissioning and procurement to the national stage. Part of this work saw the Federation Secretary General, Baljeet Singh Ghataora [Trident HA] deliver a presentation to a packed hall at Housemark Birmingham, while the Deputy Chair, Mark Kapszewicz [Look Ahead Housing and Care] entertained an audience at the equally well attended Housemark London 

Action Research Project On Construction And Diversity

The Greater London Authority (GLA)

LEOF is a Member of a Steering Group with a wide brief to GLA construction and building maintenance contracts, revising procurement processes, contract management, auditing and reporting methods, which will include contracts issued under ?Transport for London?, ?London Development Agency? and ?Metropolitan Police?.

 

2004 - LEOF RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS AWARD 

LEOF/Safebuild.com received an award for Partnership Excellence in Kensington Town Hall ? from Lee Jasper [Policy Director, London Mayor?s Office] and Manny Lewis [London Development Agency] in conjunction with BEAM.
